Article Published: AI in Criminal Justice

Deniz Çelikkaya’s article on the use of artificial intelligence in criminal justice has been published in the latest issue of the Nordic Journal of European Law (2025/1).

Co-authored with Prof. Mustafa Karayiğit, the piece explores how AI technologies are being introduced into criminal justice systems, highlighting both their potential and the legal, ethical, and societal questions they raise.

“It’s an important moment to reflect on how emerging technologies must be guided by strong governance, due process, and human rights safeguards.

Looking forward to continuing this essential conversation on law, fairness, and technology.”
